The Tipping Point
I usually prefer reading fiction, so I hadn’t run out and bought Malcolm Gladwell despite several recommendations.
In the beginning, while reading about Hush Puppies, Sesame Street, and a suicide epidemic, I was truly fascinated. But as the book wore on,. my fascination gradually subsided. Still, I don’t blame Mr. Gladwell so much as my restless mind, which has led me away from philosophy because, though I am intrigued by the theories of many philosophers, I find myself impatient with their obsessive proclivity to argue while the theory grows dimmer and dimmer.
Once again, I will turn to fiction.
Still, I’m glad to have read The Tipping Point and believe its insights are valuable. Everyone who cares about the world how culture community, and marketing work,. should read it.
